Description

Orthopaedic trauma is the “bread and butter” of all orthopaedic surgeons. This includes extremity fractures, dislocations, as well as the associated soft tissue injuries. Dr. Mahna specializes in complex injuries to bones, joints and soft tissues (like muscles, tendons and ligaments) throughout the entire body with a special focus on the treatment of fractured bones and joint realignment to promote the safe recovery and return of functionality to injured body parts. He is involved in the treatment of trauma patients and usually follow them for an extended period of time, often years to assess the final clinical outcome. Lastly, we focus as well on the post-traumatic manifestations of trauma like nonunion, malunion, limb-deformity, and infections.
